Háŋ Mitákuyapi, Misse is originally from Fort Yates, North Dakota and resides in Aberdeen, South Dakota. She is a member of the Húŋkpapȟa (Standing Rock) and Isáŋyathi (Santee) Nations.

She holds her Masters in Legal Studies – Indigenous Peoples Law from University of Oklahoma. Misse is the Cancer Programs Specialist at AICAF. She is very passionate about working with and supporting Indigenous communities. She has over 10 years of experience advocating for Indigenous peoples’ rights locally and nationally. She also brings a lifetime of experience relating to the healthcare field, specifically within Indian Country through her Mother working for the Indian Health Service.
