Evie Odden, BA (Sisseton Wahpeton and Mdewakanton Dakota lineal descendant)
Research Specialist

Evie is a Research Specialist at AICAF, where she supports all aspects of the research process, including planning, data collection, analysis, and reporting. She holds a BA in Women’s and Gender Studies from Carleton College, where she became passionate about community-based research as one of many powerful tools we have to work toward equity. She previously held research roles studying urban housing, educational disparities, and Indigenous food sovereignty. Evie is a lineal descendant of the Sisseton Wahpeton and Mdewakanton Dakota and is honored to have the opportunity to partner with communities and organizations to learn more about cancer disparities and strategies to improve the health of Indigenous people. She is inspired by her several family members who work or have worked as nurses. Evie lives in Minneapolis and enjoys spending time around the lakes, playing in adult recreational sports leagues, and knitting.
