Tina Gerovac-Lavasseur, DNP, RN
Nurse Project Manager

Boozhoo! My name is Tina Gerovac-Lavasseur, and I work in the NBCCEDP program as a
Nurse Project Manager. I hold a Doctorate of Nursing Practice degree. I have previously
worked for the Bad River Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Indians in various roles within Public
Health. I enjoyed my work within the community and was honored to be able to provide
community care and support. I feel a strong pull to work within Indigenous communities to help
eliminate health inequities. I was drawn to the work AICAF does, not only because of the work I
am able to provide to Indigenous individuals and communities, but also because of my own
personal experiences with cancer. I find it both personally and professionally fulfilling to assist
in reducing the burden of cancer within community. I am very fortunate to be able to do this work
with such a passionate and talented team.
